Local summer arts faire

We went to the Mateel Community Center Annual summer arts fair yesterday. Although the artist's booths were excellent the food that was available left a little to be desired. Nothing Raw! What's up Garberville? We should be the raw food capital of the world!
We were a little frustrated so we ended up eating some rice from the Indian Food site.It was the first time we had eaten Indian rice since going raw. It was marginal, no flavor. Was it because there were no spices? I don't think so, it looked like there was.... Or was it because it was cooked and we like the flavor of our raw food better? . Luckily there was the KMUD booth that had fresh coconuts! They were cutting the tops off and serving with a recyclable straw! Excellent! They saved our day. Nathan had one too, he says YUM!
So, my goal for next year will be to have a Raw food booth under our new busninss name "We Want Raw!". I am working on the menu now for next year already! I promise to make it an excellent variety to entice everyone to eat more raw food.
