Sorry it's been a little while from my last post. My father has been missing since July 7th and we have found his car. Today has been 9 days and we still have not heard a word. I went to the Elk River Headwaters trail head today to walk the trail where his car was found and the Sheriff's department has been looking for the last 2 days. I do not believe he is still there. The trail was easy and there were not any spots that I believe he could have gone to do harm or get lost. He is suffering from depression, so the Sheriff does have him listed as an "at risk" missing person. The local Eureka news has the missing persons report with his photo, and the Times Standard has an article and a photo of him in Tuesday 7/14's paper.
Here's a photo of him from a couple of years ago. He usually wears a baseball cap, but this was a Christmas dinner. He also has newer glasses that are smaller.
