Vibrant Living Expo 2009

We had an excellent time at the Vibrant Living Expo in Fort Bragg California. We met alot of great people, ate alot of great food, and learned alot of great information about the Raw lifestyle. Everyone was lighthearted and happy. It was a great group of people to hang out with.

I was happy to meet Kevin and Ann Marie Gianni!! I have been watching them on the web for the past several months and taking heed to all the information they give on the Raw Food lifestyle. Check out their blog at: renegadehealth.com/blog/

No I don't like the photo! I tried not to smile because Damon says I close my eyes when I do. At least Kevin has the same look on his face! Ann Marie had some great suggestions for me on my lack of exercise issue. I'll have to save that for later . They were both really nice . Someone we could relate to.

Here are some more photos of the event.

Cherie Soria (owner of the Living Light business) doing a demonstration. She was awesome!

The cafe in the Living Light building. It was really nice to know all the meals were Raw and Organic. Just had to choose between some great items! One day for lunch Damon had Raw Lasagna (the cheese tasted just like Ricotta! yummy!) and I had a Not Tuna sandwich, which yes, tasted just like tuna! I will teach you how to do that soon! Here's the photos of our lunches, they were so good I had to show you!

Raw Lasagna, doesn't that look good? It was!

Toni's Not Tuna. It was way too much to eat. I was stuffed all day, couldn't eat dinner!

We saw several people in the Raw food movement. Several I had never heard of, but others I had run across. I didn't get a photo of him, but we did see Brian Clement of the Hippocrates Institute speak a couple of times. If you don't know about him and the institute you'll have to look it up. They are actually curing cancer!! Yes, with raw diets and of course other treatments, but all holistic and NO medications!!!!! Go here to see the institute: http://www.hippocratesinst.org/

We left very excited to start our local "uncooked" classes next spring.

Last year about this time was our introduction to the Living Light Institute in Fort Bragg, CA and the Expo that they held each year. Being our first year at the expo (after going raw only 4 months earlier), we enjoyed every aspect. They had several things going on at once so we could choose to watch a chef, or listen to an expert talk about any aspect of the raw food diet in several locations close to the institute. We enjoyed ourselves and gleaned knowledge and enthusiasm for our new raw food journey. Our previous blog about the conference ...
